Whether it’s in good times or bad,

true friends will always stand by you.

They are supposed to stay with you through life’s sorrows and joys.
But people aren’t perfect, and relationships are often fragile.
A foolish mistake or angry words spoken too quickly may tear a friendship apart.
What if there was a relationship capable of enduring anything?
Would you accept that there is someone who, no matter the strain, wants to restore his relationship with you, even if it means dying for you?
There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
John 15:13

Rejection and restoration

The truth is, there actually is someone who did this exact thing. Jesus Christ gave his life for you when you weren’t even his friend. He did it so that you can be!
God created us to be in friendship with him, but from the beginning each of us has turned from God.
By choosing our own way instead of trusting our Creator, we have each rejected his friendship.
But there is good news! Our friendship with God can be rebuilt.

For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.
Romans 5:10

Unshakable Friendship

Human relationships are fragile, but God’s relationship with us never will be. The Bible shows us countless examples of deep commitment and faithful love: God’s friendship with his people.

Unshakable friendship comes only from God, who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our friendship with him alive.
