I am less afraid for myself, but …

When the people I love are in danger, anxiety consumes me.

If I lose them, I will be totally alone in this world.
If I lose them, my life will become empty and meaningless.
If I lose them, I will have no other reason to live.
At times like this it’s hard to keep hope alive and not be swallowed up by fear.
What if, even at the darkest moments, there is a hope that can never be extinguished?
We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.
Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in you alone.
Psalm 33:20-22

Seen and Known

God sees you. He knows your circumstances.
He knows how you love your close ones, and understands your fears.
He is always there for you. You never need to be alone.
God is the only one who is able to save and protect.
Even though this world is full of brokenness, evil, and grief, you can experience hope in God’s promise to make all things new again one day soon.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
Revelation 21:4

Talk to the Father

Though we are not promised that this life will be free of pain and loss, God offers us hope and peace even now. And he promises eternal life with him, free from sorrow, for those who will trust in him.

If you are afraid of losing loved ones, pray this prayer.
Dear God,
Thank you for giving me people who I love and care about. You love them even more than I do. Please, protect them and keep them safe. You are a mighty God and you are able to save. Help me to put my hope in you and your promises.
